Product Photography?
Yeah, I guess you could call it that.
Even though I personally don’t drink I often find myself taking photos of people drinking or whatever the musicians on stage are drinking. Why not?
Is it technically product photography, yeah, maybe, sure. Whatever it is it will always be in my distinct visual language.
Here are some of the photos I’ve taken of beers, tequila, sodas, water, wherever I’ve stumbled on them.
Taken in Central Park, NYC. While walking through the park I found an ongoing softball game. When I got closer I noticed few PBRs sitting there, so I framed up my shot and waited for the right moment. I didn't have to wait long, shortly after I had squared up my shot the infield and outfield players switched around and a thirsty player came by to grab a beer, which is the moment here in this photo.
"Red Stripe, hooray beer!"

Local musician Joey Calderaio (seen pictured) hired me to shoot a performance of his. Chaser Water is a sponsor of his band and he asked me to grab some photos of the product.

An acquaintance of mine, José, was an aspiring model, doing a shoot together I noticed he had several cases of Liquid Death in the cab of his truck. We decided to do some photos as if he "had too much to drink" and passed out in his truck bed. About a year after these photos were taken he passed away in a motorcycle accident. I look back at the photos from that day with not just sadness but a feeling of gratefulness to have been able to get these photos as well as some more normal portrait photos of him. Rest in peace, José.

Taken in the Crystal Springs Resort's Wine Cellar during visit with my family for my cousin's wedding. We had a family only dinner the first night and the tour was part of that. Me being who I am, I obviously brought my camera and a couple lenses with me.

Taken during a 2025 performance by the band Daikaiju. A bartender waded through a sea of people to hand a bottle of tequila to the lead guitarist of the band, who then proceeded to pour it into the mouths of everyone standing nearby and his own mouth. A show I'll never forget. I highly recommend checking out my other photos from their shows over the years as well as actually checking out one of their shows.

Showcasing my friend's Mao watch.
The way the light was hitting the bottles of Coke and coconut waters really appealed to me. I probably looked a little weird taking this considering I was at my friend's birthday party.
